KALENDA | Exploring links between Trinidadian and Angolan Heritage

The second installment of my five part video series offering a glimpse at some of the similarities between elements of Caribbean and African heritage. The second video explores Kalenda, a tradition that is practiced in many parts of the Caribbean. The video focuses on the stick-fighting element which is practiced in Trinidad, and gauging the similarities of the practices with aspects of Chokwe heritage.
